Ashley Halverson, LCSW
Often, my services will come at a time when you do not feel like yourself; it can be scary to ask for help. I commend you for taking this step, and I offer a warm environment in which we can focus on your strengths. I will sit with you in your experiences and will join with you to reduce your distress.
Welcome! I am Ashley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University. I have training and experience in utilizing Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other treatment modalities to meet your needs.
My passion for supporting reproductive mental health and well-being has involved professional and volunteer opportunities to support our community’s knowledge and empowerment around reproductive care. For the past two years, I have had the honor of helping individuals through their experiences of Perinatal and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety in a program providing in-home services to low income families. I also have experience working with adults living with chronic mental illness in a group therapy setting. In my schooling, I spent my final semester abroad in Thailand, learning about the practice of hospice care within the country and conducting research for my thesis entitled "Intimate Partner Victimization of Transgender People and Access to Social Services."
In my free time, I enjoy exploring San Diego with my partner and friends. I love to ride my bike on trails and to dance. I look forward to working with you as you navigate this season of your life.
